Simple ways to support a friend or loved one battling Cancer:
Pick up the phone. Just to say "i am thinking of you today". This is so WONDERFUL and lifts the spirits of someone in fight. And don`t forget the care giver... sometimes they need a little boost too! :]
Make an extra dish. If you are making something yummy for dinner, make a additional small dish to freeze. Drop it by when you are out and about. Food can be a great comfort :] Especially when the care giver is not Julia Childs! (me) lol
Send a card. Just a simple card... plain or fancy... doesn`t matter. Just to say "i am thinking of you today".
Use your cell phone. Next time you find your self in the grocery store, pet store, bakery, etc. Call and say "can i pick anything up for you?" Milk...bread...juice... and drop it off on your way home. You will be the hero of the day :]
ONE in THREE Americans WILL get Cancer in their lifetime. Lets support and be there for each other... because CANCER SUCKS.
